About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to join our finance team in Sweden. This role will be crucial in driving financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting, while also offering support to the Group Accounting Manager on group consolidation processes when needed. You will be responsible for delivering insightful financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
What you'll do
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual and forecasted results, providing clear insights and strategic recommendations.
- Create financial models to support business planning and key initiatives.
Management Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and impactful financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Compile and analyze financial and operational KPIs, including SaaS metrics and cost drivers.
- Create comprehensive reports that provide actionable insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Quarterly Reporting (Listed Company):
- Lead the preparation of quarterly financial reports for public disclosure.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
Cost analysis:
- Analyze and monitor key cost drivers, such as AWS and GCP expenses, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and profitability improvements.
Performance Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate business performance, growth trends, and financial risks.
- Identify key insights into financial health, revenue trends, and operational efficiency.
- Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and data-driven recommendations.
Group reporting and consolidation support:
- Support the Group Accounting Manager with group consolidation processes, as needed, including assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Gain a strong understanding of group-wide accounting policies to provide backup support during absences or peak reporting periods.
- Ensure data accuracy within Bright Analytics and assist with ad-hoc financial tasks.
Who you are
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Understanding of financial reporting tools, accounting software, and consolidation platforms.
- Experience with SaaS metrics and business performance analysis is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial planning software (e.g., Bright Analytics, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or similar).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into business recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data.
- Experience in a listed company with quarterly reporting requirements.
- Understanding of Swedish group reporting standards.
- Fluent in English
