As a Sales Engineer at Bambuser you act as a technical and strategic advisor to our merchant-facing, Support, Product and Engineering teams in a broad range of integration scenarios, and as the key partner for our enterprise customers during platform onboarding. The Sales Engineer role is a technically senior position aimed at solving complex issues, creating documentation and improving internal communication and processes.
This is a role that requires exceptional internal and external communication skills. Sales Engineers play a key role in getting our merchant partners up-and-running as quickly as possible, helping them answer any integration or product questions they have, and driving a sense of connection to Bambuser’s engineering organisation during the post-sales and onboarding process.
Our Sales Engineering team helps our merchant partners make the most out of our products: getting integrated fast, avoiding engineering pitfalls and setting themselves up for long-term success on our platforms.
What you'll do
- Partnering with our Sales and Customer Success teams during enterprise integration discussions, including proactively reviewing merchant partner integration plans and advising on best practices.
- Acting as the technical point of contact for enterprise customers on an ongoing basis once they are live on our platforms, providing both technical and strategic input on how to use our products and benefit from new tools and features.
- Partnering with our Support team to understand any recurring pain points or customer support issues that are tied to structural integration challenges, and translating those challenges to our Product and Engineering teams.
- Partnering with our Engineering and Product teams to continually refine the obstacles and opportunities our merchants face when integrating with our products, and providing a clear feedback loop for those teams as our merchant partners adopt new features and functionality.
- Troubleshooting ongoing integration issues with enterprise partners, including reviewing both the architectural details and real-time bug reports.
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in customer integrations, project management, business analysis, client success, e-commerce or a related field
- Bachelor's Degree (BSc / BA) in relevant area or equivalent work experience
- Good understanding of HTML / CSS / Javascript and knowledge of HTTP networking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid practical experience in process development and documentation
- Fluent in English, other language(s) considered an advantage
